🛡 Quality guarantee

You only pay for QRs that scan.

Two short promises and one human-judgment clause. That's the whole policy.

1. Every render ships scannable.

After fal generates the art, we validate it with a strict offline decoder (jsQR). If the raw render decodes, we ship the pure AI version. If it doesn't, our pipeline applies structure restoration — we composite the finder patterns and timing marks from a clean source QR back onto the AI output, escalating the blend until the decoder locks on.

The pipeline can't fail to produce a scannable QR. The trade-off you control is art-vs-restoration: a prompt that produces a clean AI render needs zero restoration (maximum art); a tricky prompt needs more blend (less art, more visible QR pattern). You always get a working QR — better prompts get prettier ones.

2. Buyer's remorse: 7 days, unused credits.

Bought a credit pack and haven't used a single credit yet? Email [email protected] within 7 days and we'll refund the purchase in full. No questions, no calls. We check the credit-consumption log; if it reads zero, you get the refund.

After the first credit is used, this offer is closed — but read on.

3. Everything else: case by case.

We're a small team and we'd rather solve a real problem than hide behind a policy. If something went sideways — fal.ai outage during your render, a bug we caused, you got charged twice, a clearly unreasonable failure mode we didn't anticipate — email [email protected] and we'll fix it.

What we won't refund: taste. Every render ships scannable, but AI is non-deterministic — sometimes the model gives you a hit, sometimes the prompt needs another roll. The Regenerate button on your result page costs 1 credit for a fresh seed; we can't refund a render that did its job (scanned) just because you wanted a different look.

The mechanics

  • Decoder: jsQR strict mode at 5 canvas sizes × 12 preprocessing pipelines (grayscale, normalise, sharpen, thresholds, gamma corrections). If any pipeline at any size decodes the same payload, the QR passes.
  • Structure restoration: when the raw AI render fails strict decode, we composite a small set of guaranteed-perfect QR elements (finder patterns, timing marks, alignment patterns, format info, quiet zone) from a clean source QR onto the output. Data modules stay artistic; Reed-Solomon error correction at level H absorbs up to 30% noise in the data area.
  • Escalating blend: if the 50%-blended restored version still doesn't decode, we escalate to 75%, then to 100% (full source-QR stamp). The 100% case is a colorized QR — guaranteed scan, less visible art — used as the floor.
  • Logo-aware mode (Pro): 2 credits per render. Same guarantee — every output is scannable.
  • Dynamic-QR conversion: any saved AI tile can be made into a dynamic redirect for free on paid plans. Print freely; update destination later without reprinting.

Basic QR codes

Basic, non-AI QR codes are always free. There's nothing to refund. If a basic QR won't scan for you (extremely rare — usually a contrast / sizing issue), reach out and we'll help.
